Vision

My quest to find a solution to what happens inside the human brain was rewarded with an amazing responsibility.” – Ano

Introduction

The Xzistor Concept brain model that I developed not only offers a completely new way to understand the brain, but allows us to build real humanoid robots and virtual agents (simulated robots) with intelligence and emotions. This is because the model is essentially an integrated set of algorithms which can easily be translated into computer codes and neural network solutions.

This model will fundamentally change the world we live in and the lives of future generations. The new insights we will derive from the model will reinvent some disciplines like psychology and neuroscience. It will also lead to a new understanding of AI and the origins of human cognition and actions. This will demystify the brain and human behaviours, and lead to a society more tolerant of human diversity, imperfection and fallibility.

The model will for the first time lead to a true understanding of the mechanisms of intelligence and emotion, as constituent parts of a single integrated mind model. From this we will arrive at the conclusion that the functionality that makes us human – our so-called awareness – can also reside in robotic devices and software agents.

It will dawn on us that the human brain is but a simple instantiation of the Xzistor Concept, and that vastly more advanced instantiations are possible.

The model will be key in guiding our understanding of superior robots and virtual agents who’s capabilities will one day far exceed that of humans – and how we prepare for this event, called the Singularity.

Society’s thinking and rules will have to be changed to ensure protection of the rights of not just humans, but also these advanced robots and virtual agents.

The model will almost certainly lead to one of the largest industries the world has seen and this will require a robust system of governance and control to avoid abuse. Because the implications of getting this wrong could have serious long term implications – we will have to carefully consider the interests and needs of all stakeholders.

Development Process

To start of with, the model should only be worked on by those who understand the above implications and have made an unequivocal commitment towards an ethical approach based on the principles set out in the Xzistor LAB Ethical Design and Development Code.

A scientific ‘safe space’ should be created where controls are in place to ensure only ethical scientists work on this model. At the same time it is important that the IP is moved from the mind of one individual (me) to a responsible core of scientists for posterity. This is an opportunity to have the technology developed by those committed to an AI safe future, and get a head start on those who might attempt to abuse this model. It is imperative that safety is the overriding priority for those taking this forward.

How do we take this forward?

As this brain model now for the first time allows us to develop robots that will be capable of intelligence and emotions, we need to be circumspect about how we take this further. See my suggested steps below:

Steps

  • Develop Theoretical Model (Done)
  • Develop Logic Algorithms (Done)
  • Consolidate Logic Algorithms into Integrated Brain Model (Done)
  • Simple Simulation Tests [Mousy Simulation] (Done)
  • Simple Physical Experimental Installations [Hand-Eye Robot] (Done)
  • First Virtual Agent Controlled by Model [Simmy Simulation] – Proof of Concept (Done)
  • First Physical Robot Controlled by Model [Troopy Physical Robot] – Demonstrate Physical Instantiation (Done)
  • Key Behaviours and Subjective Brains State Demo Videos (YouTube) – Show No Exception to Generality of Model (In Progress)
  • Engage Interested Parties with Demo Videos [No IP yet] – Identify Interested Parties and Assess Collaboration and Investment Models (In Progress)
  • Assess Collaboration Proposals and Threshold Investment Criteria to award Licences to Viable Research Teams (Future) where Groups not already exist.
  • Secure Research Team, Facility and Secure Working Arrangements for Licensed Xzistor LAB collaborator teams (Future)
  • Xzistor LAB private mentoring of research teams and individuals and supporting all projects (Future)
  • Pursue Groundbreaking Advanced Experiments and Build World’s First truly Humanoid Robots (Future)

I have a view, a vision of how my discovery should be taken forward and developed in a manner that will be advantageous to all involved. Absolutely key now is to secure sponsors who believe in my discovery and are ready to help me set up competent research teams, facilities and secure working arrangements for licensed Xzistor LAB collaborator teams.

As I am passionate about Ethical AI and the sole owner of this IP, I will ensure this discovery is put to good use.

Xzistor LAB Vision

To establish a worldwide network of highly competent and ethical research teams developing the Xzistor Concept IP to create the Robot Age in a safe, secure and sustainable manner for all affected parties.
