About Sage’s Cave

Attention: All sections of the Advanced Robotics area are ‘workbench’ areas, meaning that projects can be at any stage of progress – from early conceptualization to final reporting.

Introduction

Beware! Here Be Dragons! Do not enter the Sage’s Cave if you have brick walls in your brain or preset notions about life or anything else that you are not prepared to challenge! Only if you are a pure scientist at heart and prepared to question anything, including all taboos and holy cows, and are prepared to put your ideas, notions and long-held beliefs to the test, else go back! You might encounter evidence that could turn your understanding of everything on its head!

Covenant of the Cave

The work we do in the Cave involves analysis of many aspects including some topics that many will feel are taboo. By visiting the Blue Sky Lab section of the Xzistor LAB, please understand that I will assume you are a true scientist and as such willing to consider any claims, arguments, and evidence without prejudice. Many aspects discussed here might challenge your current understanding of the brain and question societal norms and values, religious convictions, ideologies and scientific aspects around the brain. If you feel uncomfortable being challenged or taking part in discussions around topics that might be taboo in some cultures or circles – this area of the website might not be for you. I accept that projects and discussions around my brain model will challenge the popular current notion that ‘the brain is too complex to model‘ and that ‘we are not there yet…‘. But I want you to retain an open mind to the possibility of a simple way to explain the brain and consider the demo videos and information on this site before immediately dismissing it as implausible.

So this covenant is really just to show my intention to create a ‘safe space’ where everyone can air their views and be heard in a non-prejudiced and scientific manner! That way we can progress on this amazing journey with clear rules of engagement and no confusion over the open-minded nature of discussions that Labbers should expect beyond this point…

Insights into the Brain

Insight 01: How Addiction Works

The Xzistor Concept brain model reveals the startling truth about the location of addiction mechanisms in the brain – working in the ‘engine room’ of the brain where all behaviours start…and how addiction basically changes you into another person…

Insight 03: Danger of Innovation

The Xzistor Concept brain model explains how it is not man’s inherent urge to fight that poses a threat to all life on earth – but in fact the Innovation Algorithm which makes him design weapons. This needs to be a major consideration when designing the robots of the future.

Insight 04: Curiosity in the Mind

The Xzistor Concept brain model explains how curiosity provides emotional reward – in fact it is a form of entertainment – that feeds our decision-making information arsenal.

Insight 05: Euthanasia – a Crime?

The Xzistor Concept brain model shows how we, while bravely owning up to the crimes of our violent past, are still committing a barbaric atrocity every day by not legalising euthanasia…
