Hello!
I am Rocco Van Schalkwyk (alias Ano).
I am the owner of the Xzistor LAB and the inventor of the Xzistor Concept brain model.
I am the ‘hermeneutic hobbyist’ – an AI enthusiast that came at the brain from another angle. I have discovered a way to explain all that happens in the brain and now build robots and robotic simulations in my laboratory that have intelligence and emotions – machines that are ‘aware’ just like you and I.

By day I am a mechanical engineer with over 30 years experience in the naval/marine, aerospace/defense, nuclear and robotics industries. In my free time I enjoy building robots and writing AI programs (C++, Java, etc.). When I have time, I also enjoy looking at the work of other AI enthusiasts from around the world – both hobbyists and academics.
I have no formal training in AI and I am careful to keep it that way…because herein lies my strength… 🙂
I want to welcome you to my AI adventure and I want to assure you that you will see some things that you might not have expected to see in your lifetime. We are now entering the world of real AI – the worlds that Asimov and Kubrick had spoken of.
